Oh my poor husband. We sold our house last summer and while we were very excited...we really didn't expect to sell it so fast! We built our first home and absolutely loved it. It was a small, quaint little home, but we were quickly outgrowing it. When the house sold we started making plans to build dream house #2. With plans to start building in our near future I am constantly on the look out for ways to save big while building a house. I tell people all the time "if there is a way to build a house while using coupons...I will find out how to do it!" Chad is a builder so he laughs at me when I question plumbers and electricians about coupons...but I have found one coupon that we will be using!! Lowe's is offering a coupon on their website that allows you to "Save $10.00 on a $50.00 purchase." This excites me because I see all sorts of possibilities for buying lighting, faucets, and switch plates using a COUPON! Who says you can't build a house using coupons!? Stay tuned all summer as our house building and coupon use continues. We WILL use coupons to build our new house! What project do you have that you can now complete thanks to Lowe's?

Great Opportunity to Pay it Forward

I know that many of you are cashing in on lots of great FREEBIES and scoring some items for just pennies. The thing I love about coupons is the opportunity I have to pay it forward and give to others from the growing stock of items I gather for FREE! I was contacted this afternoon by my Facebook Friend and fellow Classy Coupon Clipper Brooke. Her aunt has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments. As you can imagine she is in severe pain and the financial burden of having a sick family member is unthinkable. Brooke's family have coordinated a fundraiser for Pam to help with medical expenses and ongoing care needs. The event will be held on April 9 at 3:00 p.m. in Springfield, KY. For more information on the event you can check out the Facebook Event that the family has created. During this event there will be an auction to raise funds for Pam. Brooke is asking us Classy Coupon Clippers to consider digging in our stock pile and donating items to this event. They will be creating baskets of items (laundry, snacks, etc) and putting them up to be auctioned at this event. I love this idea and what better way to pay it forward then to help a family right here in our community that is in need? If you would like to donate items for the auction you can message Brooke Durbin on Facebook or you can watch my Facebook Page tomorrow morning and we will announce a drop off location. I know God will bless this event and the sweet family that is going through this rough time. Please keep Pam Chesser, her family, and this event in your prayers :)

Wal-Mart FREEBIES!

This weekend while I was at Wal-Mart I ran across some FREEBIES and money makers that I wanted to pass along to you! Many of you may have the coupon that you see in the picture above. It is a "Save $1.00 on ANY Pert Plus 2-in-1 product" coupon and the word ANY means that it can be used on trial sizes! Many times coupons will specifically say "trial size excluded," but this coupon does not say this. Wal-Mart sells the trial size Pert Plus 2-in-1 shampoo for only $.97 so with this coupon you can ear $.03 per coupon you have! This coupon expires on 3/31 so if you have these...hurry out and get your FREEBIES!

If you requested the P&G booklet recently from their website then you received this coupon for "Save $3.00 on ANY Secret Clinical Strength deodorant." Wal-Mart sells the trial size packages of Secret Clinical Strength for only $2.47 so with this coupon you will make $.53 per stick! If you use Secret deodorant then this coupon will be well spent on a full size stick when it goes on sale. Due to sensitive skin issues that I have, I have to use one particular brand of deodorant. I would much rather get a FREE stick of deodorant that I can donate then to let my coupon expire. If you don't use this brand of deodorant then you may want to check into this FREEBIE!

As I was browsing the trial size items at Wal-Mart I ran across the trial size Secret deodorants that were $.97. I had coupons in the P&G Everyday Solutions booklet (that were requested on Facebook about a month ago) that said "Save $1.00 on ANY Secret deodorant." Again I do not use Secret deodorant so I was able to earn $.03 for each trial size stick and will donate it to my church :)

The last FREEBIE I ran across was for the small bags of Millstone Coffee. Wal-Mart sells these bags for $1.64 and I had a coupon that said "Save $2.00 on 1 Millstone Coffee" so with this coupon I was able to earn $.36 per bag of coffee! This is another coupon that will expire on 3/31 so if you have it...get your FREEBIE soon :)
