Take the "scissoring" out of your couponing!

Please bear with me on the weekly deals for Kroger this week as illness has hit the Patterson household :( Chad became ill on Wednesday and is yet to feel better while I became sick yesterday and am trying to battle back. The youngest Patterson woke up with a fever this morning which any mother knows...makes the world stop so that we can care for our babies! I am hopeful that we will all benefit from doses of Motrin and a good night sleep so I can resume regular functioning tomorrow!

This post is one that I was going to prepare after the sales were posted, but I will go ahead with it a little early so that you are aware of this option when I do get them posted. Many of you may really want to start stock piling coupons in order to cash in on the best sales, but may feel that buying large amounts of newspapers and clipping coupons for long periods of time is not for you. Don't worry I feel your pain! About a month or so ago I became aware of a coupon clipping website that takes the "clipping" out of your weekly routine. All you have to do is go to their website, browse the coupons and choose the ones you want to use for the week, pay a small fee, and they will clip them and mail them directly to your house! It is a great option for those of you who want to take the leg work out of hunting papers and coupons each week.

The site that I have used personally is couponcarryout.com and it is extremely user friendly. They sell coupons individually and you can either browse by category, by coupon insert, or search for a particular coupon by name. There are a few "rules" to this site that I want to make you aware of.

1. There is a minimum order of $3.00 per order and this is before shipping and handling. This may sound like a low amount, but when they are selling coupons for $.03-$.30 you are able to get a lot for your money!

2. They also have a 7 day maximum for ordering coupons. What this means is that if you order a batch of coupons on Monday, you will be required to wait until the following Monday to order again.

3. It is their policy to make every effort to ship orders placed during the week by 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on the next business day. They are located in Harrod, Ohio and you can expect it to take 2-3 days to arrive (if you live here in Harrodsburg). This means if you check this site on Sunday, order your coupons on Tuesday, then you should have them by Thursday. I like being able to have coupons within a week because I can order specific coupons for the weekly sales I want to cash in on!

4. This website does require you to pay shipping and handling, but in my opinion it is fairly reasonable. For a $4.00 order I paid $.96 of which $.50 was for a handling fee. This cost will depend on the amount you order and your location, but they do have different options for shipping. If you can spend $15.00 on coupons then shipping and handling is absolutely free!

5. Couponcarryout.com has implemented a customer reward program to help you save even more money! For every $1.00 you spend on their website (before shipping and handling) you will be awarded 3 reward points. Once you earn 200 points you can then redeem your points on a future order! Points are redeemed at a rate of .025 which means that you are saving 7.5% on each dollar you spend and you can apply those savings to a future order!

*All of the above information can be found on the couponcarryout.com website!

Another site that I just learned about from my friend Pat is called wholecouponinserts.com and I am anxious to try this one out! This site allows you to purchase the whole coupon insert rather than searching for coupons individually! The prices on this site are also very reasonable and allows you to purchase inserts from $.30 to $.60 per insert. They also have some combined offers allowing you to stock up on a combination of inserts. So for example if you missed last week's fabulous P&G insert then you can head on over to wholecouponinserts.com and you can purchase this for the price of $.40! It is their policy that they will ship all orders within 24 hours. This company ships from Florida and their shipping rates are based on weight of package. Their sites approximates shipping by saying "less than 4 inserts will cost around $2.00 or around 6 inserts will be $2.50." The site also specifies that they do not clip the coupons for you, they just mail you the entire insert and you do the clipping!

There are many more of these coupon clipping sites and I will do my best to add them to the main page for you to check out! I am highlighting these two sites because they provide different services and I have tried one personally and a trusted friend has tried the other! This may not be a service that all of you will enjoy, but when you compare the cost of ordering the coupons directly versus paying $2.00+ for each paper on Sunday...it may save you some money! If you have questions or comments please share them with us! I would love to hear from anyone else who has ever used one of these sites and how you liked it! Be on the lookout for tomorrow's sales at Kroger and happy clipping...or non-clipping...whichever you prefer :)
